Christopher J. Struck CEO & Chief Scientist

Christopher J. Struck founded CJS Labs in 2006. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University
of Wisconsin – Madison. He also completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership and
the Stanford/AeA Executive Institute. Prior to founding CJS Labs, Mr. Struck was employed by Brüel & Kjær,
Denmark where he developed new measurement techniques and instrumentation, most notably the industry standard Type 4128 Head
and Torso Simulator and the Type 2012 Audio Analyzer. He was Principal Consultant at Charles M. Salter Associates and later,
Manager of Electroacoustics at GN ReSound, where he designed innovative signal processing hearing devices. He then oversaw
encoder/decoder licensing as Director of Engineering at Dolby Laboratories. As VP of Engineering at Tymphany Corporation,
his team developed the Linear Array Transducer™ as well as other innovative loudspeaker designs. Mr. Struck is
the author of many technical papers, application notes and articles. He has traveled extensively throughout the world providing
training and lecturing on Acoustics. He is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and a reviewer for the Journal of the
AES. He is a Member of the Acoustical Society of America, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers. He is Chair of the ANSI S3-37 Working Group on Couplers and Ear Simulators and Chair of the ANSI S3-67 Working
Group on Test Manikins. He is also a member of the ANSI S3-48 Working Group on Hearing Aid Measurements, the IEEE Subcommittee
on Telephone Instrument Testing, the AES Technical Council and the AES Working Groups on Microphones and Loudspeakers. He
was Workshops Co-Chair for the AES 117th Convention and Papers Co-Chair for the AES 121st Convention.
